Poor Pixie did not have a good start in life. She was found dumped in a field in Romania where she had been left to die. Pixie is now a healthy, playful, and lively little pup who needs a home of her own. She is about 14 months old and small size weighing about 6kg. Pixie has been fine with us in foster and has settled really well, however she can be very nervous of strangers initially, and is looking for a home where people understand this and are prepared to give her the time, space and patience and let her come to you when she feels comfortable enough to do so. When she does, you will be rewarded with the most sweet, loving and funny little dog you could possibly wish for. Pixie is also apparently good with cats.
She could be an only dog, or live with another playful one. She is currently living with 5 dogs with no problem. She would love a secure garden where she can run and play. Her ideal home would be where there is someone around all day to spend time with her and give her the attention and training she deserves. Possibly a retired person and someone who may have had experience of nervous rescue dogs. Pixie really loves playing with her squeaky toys and balls and is now starting to come back when you call her. She is bright and eager to learn and has already learnt sit and stay.
She is house trained and is learning to walk on a lead. She is a real cutie, who loves to cuddle up to you and would blossom in the right environment. This adorable little girl has been through so much and will make a perfect companion when she trusts you. She so deserves a happy ending.
As I am doing the home checks, and providing back up, adoptions will be considered in Suffolk, Norfolk, North Essex and Cambridge as she needs to go to an area that is fairly local to me.
