Description
Simba & Murphy are two 13yr old Jack Russell brothers looking for a loving retirement home together. Both boys are very sweet and gentle and no trouble whatsoever. They are currently in a foster home in Doncaster South Yorkshire with two other dogs which they get along with fine. Both boys are a pleasure and whilst getting on a bit they still enjoy their food and pottering around the garden and of course their cuddles and loves. Both boys are neutered and fully vaccinated and have have been health tested at our rescue vets. Which included blood tests, full dental work, ultrasound scans and overall health check. Simba is the tan boy has a slight heart murmur but this doesn't bother him at all and following an ultrasound scan it has shown that his heart is healthy and not enlarged. So he doesn't need any treatment or medication for this and it doesn't give him any issues. Murphy is a little overweight but he is now on a diet and losing weight and his calorie restriction would need to be continued as he does have some arthritis in his back legs due to an old injury to one of his legs which was never treated by a vet so it has left him a bit stiff when walking. He is on anti-inflammatories which he has responded well to. So nothing too bad considering theyre two older boys and as a rescue we are willing to cover the costs going forward of Murphy's anti-inflammatories if needed. We're ideally looking for a home for them to stay together as they have been all their lives with a retired person or couple with a enclosed garden that they can enjoy pottering around and sunbathing in. They can only do short walks so one or two 15 minute walks a day at the most so they don't need an overly active home, but they would love somebody around most of the day as they are so affectionate and love being around their people. They can live with another dog/s but given their age we would prefer an older dog or a gentle dog that won't jump all over them. They can't live with cats unfortunately. They are in Foster with a teenager so children over 12 is fine. If you can offer these two sweet boys they're happy retirement home then please get in touch ASAP. They deserve to live out the rest of their lives in their forever loving home. Whoever adopts these two will not regret it. They are simply gorgeous and no trouble whatsoever but great company. Home checks, ID checks, vet references and adoption fee apply
