Description
DANGER MOUSE - after the kids' TV cartoon character - is a handsome approx. 11hh, kind, dapple grey, 5 year old Welsh A GELDING with lovely long flowy 'unicorn' mane & tail. From old show breeders who bred show ponies for good nature. Sadly, however, as near 90 they could no longer see to them properly. MOTHER & CHILD'S DREAM LEAD REIN, PONY CLUB & FIRST RIDDEN PROJECT PONY. Most the work already done. Just needs some one with a small jockey to finish the work, get some miles on the clock & get him up the slag heaps, out to the beach, into town etc. Been so easy to tack up & see too in every way and a delight to work with & be with. Gets walked, lunged & long reined with tack + weights & fine with it. Has had a small child sit on him too - a storm shaking the roof above. He was fine with it, but as we don't always have a small jockey here. Should not be hard/take long even for a fairly novice family if they have a bit of help & willing to learn. My daughter happy to offer tips too . Unlike what the name may suggests, Danger Mouse is actually an exceptionally good natured, now well-handled, calm, easy for a child to tack up & fuss over, child/disabled friendly pony. Yet still young, fit & unspoiled enough to be willing to learn, do new things & have children fuss over him. Might also be of interest to:- PETTING ZOO, RIDING SCHOOL or THERAPY/PARTY PONY BUSINESS; OLDER PERSON looking for an easy to handle pony for the GRANDKIDS;. DISABLED YOUTH wanting THERA-PET[ HORSE OWNER seeking a COMPANION for an old pony. or a kind TRAVEL BUDDY for a SPORTS HORSE. Microchipped & passported. Gelded. Had course of the best wormers. Fully up to date with 1st, 2nd & 3rd Flue vaccinations. Been super for the vets. Favourite! Said to make a fantastic kids' pony. Just stood there as they shaved him, injected him & put in a catheter in for his gelding. Feet check & trim every 6 weeks. Can pick all 4 feet & good for farrier. Went through standard isolation & observation period on arrival. Did not show any signs of sickness, laminitis, asthma or sweet itch. Nor lameness, past injuries, lumps or bumps but did develop stifle lock. This was checked by senior vet. Thankfully it's fast improving with exercise, as vet predicted. Said he should come fully right & make a fantastic kids' pony. Within reason, the more walks & rides out & up-hill the better. Been well-handled, tamed & trained here for a year now. A delight to work with & a real favourite with everyone. Been fine with mares, colts & geldings, young & old, big or small. Shared paddock & pen with them no problem as so peaceful. In the paddock playful yet watchful over the others when they sleep. Easy to catch (call over), get head collar on & to lead. Often kids just put a lead around his neck to walk him or he follows them without any. Fun to take to the beach, park, etc. Been easy to tie up, brush, wash, pick feet, rug up, tack up, dress up, pleat, jab, shave, spray, worm etc. Been good to load & travel. Loved but not spoiled nor given treats. Not kicked, bit, bullied nor been the strong draggy type either. Been good with little disabled lad & with autistic teen. Just a bit unsure initially at the sight of something new, when out. Had not seen much, but soon learns. Has not bothered about metal barn doors banging, alarms going off etc. Just needs that initial introduction then usually so chilled about it. Been motherly to weak foals, the disabled & small kids - so sweet! Was never coltish even before gelding. Not perfect but genuinely a one-in-a-million unspoiled young pony. His RE-HOMING FEE is £1,200, not for profit, as seen, to kind home. Ownership & passport transferred & signed receipt given. Not a loan or lease pony - upon full payment pony is yours! If we cant trust you to own it we wont trust you with it at all. Please no producers or dealers. The right person, family, small pony business or petting zoo can easily turn him into a good lead rein pony the The most expensive & time consuming work has already been done. He is so pleasant & easy to work with. My daughter will be happy to give pointers to help person get started. CHEAP COST PRICE TRANSPORT can usually be arranged to suitable home anywhere in the UK, but not unseen. Happy to give a quote. We don't charge for our time or stays. We do it for the love of it. Happy to stay in touch too if wanted. Can send PICTURES & VIDEOS over FB. OPEN to VIEWING & VETTING. WHOLE FAMILY WELCOME . HONEST ADVISE GIVEN. No obligation to re-home. We cannot hold & will likely have much interest, so to avoid disappointment, please, come prepared as we cannot hold, hackle, do LWTVTB, payment plans or give the pony away for free. Any money goes to buy hay, bedding etc. for the rescues. If genuinely interested in, able & ready to re-home feel free to message or call if you want to book a visit or have any questions. Thanks for reading!x
