We are actively seeking for a new home for our joyful Millie! She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback Bully mix. She was picked out of her siblings because of her playful energy and overwhelming friendliness. She stole our hearts from the moment we met her , she followed us around the whole time like we had an invisible leash. She is so friendly, she loves people, she is always keen to smell and greet any human/animal and she is just the most curious thing I have ever seen.
Millie was the first ever dog in my entire family of 12 aunts and uncles. She has played such a huge role in introducing my extended family the normality and joys of owning a dog , so for that she will never be forgotten and will forever be a cherished member, we are going to miss her so much.
Unfortunately, we will be moving away into an apartment that doesn’t allow pets. She needs a home with a decent sized garden that she can play and run around in. She is at her happiest when she is outside , she loves sitting in the sun, she loves going out for walks (she will pull quite a bit at the beginning of your walk due to uncontrollable excitement). She is at her saddest when she’s in a cage or behind a closed door, she will whine and cry to be with you even if it’s a trip to the toilet she will follow you every time.
Despite her love for playtime, she also enjoys her peaceful moments of relaxation, where she can be found snoring the house down. She is a true expert in the art of napping, making any cozy spot her own as seen in the pictures. Millie will literally sleep however long you decide to sleep, whether it be a power nap or a lay-in day you will find her right next to you cuddled up.
When it comes to food Millie does not play. We do use a slow feeder but there is nothing slow about that girl. She isn’t much of a kibble fan but she will chow down if it’s of natural ingredients as she only eats meat and poultry fresh from the butchers. Cooked or Raw , she will finish her food and then find space to try and eat yours too. She loves treats but is always too distracted to eat any when she’s outside. Give her a hard bone and she will lay with it till it’s finished no matter how many hours it takes.
Tendencies:
- She can get overly excited and nip while being petted so she always grabs a toy to enjoy the affection
- Again, due to her excitement she welcomes people by jumping
- She will only bark to get your attention whether it be she’s hungry or needs to use the loo
- She may also lick her empty food bowl or lick the walls to tell you she’s hungry
- Millie is a super athletic Rhodesian Ridgeback and will jump over low fences if she sees an animal or ball
To sum it all up, if you would like a companion that will always want to be by your side this is the right dog for you. Millie CRAVES human contact as well as attention and her tail wags are never ending. All it takes is for you to look at her and she will wag her tail and jump up with excitement. She will constantly shower you with lots of affection, cuddles, and kisses but also expects the same in return.
