Description🐾 Silver-Snow, Silver, Seal Mink and Seal Sepia Babies due very soon, please enquire to join our waiting list 🐾
Thank you for choosing to read our advert, as a small breeding programme we really do appreciate it ❤️
We have been a home-based, TICA-registered, ethical breeder since early 2015 but prior to starting our programme, we spent over a decade researching the Bengal breed in detail. We felt this was essential before jumping into the crazy world of these little leopards because they are a high energy, hugely intelligent breed that have specific care requirements and aren't for everyone.
We take great care to screen prospective owners and ensure they are fully aware of the breed requirements so that our owners aren't surprised when they bring their kitten home and he or she starts to climb their curtains 😆
All our breeding cats are fully health tested, including regular HCM screenings, lung and faecal panels to guard against heart problems (which are now prevalent in the Bengal breed due to lack of HCM screening!), giardia, tritrichomonas foetus (both of which cause diarrhea during times of stress; usually explained away by less ethical breeders as "loose stools during the first few days of arriving their new home" - this is NOT normal and CAN be avoided by following our example and carrying out regular facial parasitic screening) and other nasties that are currently very common within the breed due to harmful breeding practices from some other breeders, including some larger and very well-known catteries!
We aim to breed a small number of healthy, happy and well-socialised Bengal kittens each year. We keep our programme small by choice and only breed our Queens when we have people on our waiting list, to ensure we are able to find our precious babies their forever homes by 13 weeks of age.
We regularly bring in new lines to our programme from Canada, Russia and Europe to ensure that the COI (which basically means level of inbreeding) is kept as low as possible - a lot of Bengals in the UK have the same cats cropping up in their pedigrees time and again so keeping the COI is important to avoid genetic issues in kittens we produce.
Bringing in new lines also enables us to improve our lines, which is something a good breeder always strives to do (as the 'perfect' Bengal doesn't exist).
We aim to produce Bengal kittens with excellent 'type'; large, almost-round eyes, a short, tight coat, small, rounded ears, a strong chin, puffy whisker pads, spotty legs and a short-medium length, thick tail which should be spotted to give them a look as close to possible as the Asian Leopard Cat.
We only allow our kittens to leave our family home at 13/14 weeks of age when they have been neutered, fully vaccinated and they have weaned themselves off feeding from mum (between 8-12 weeks of age, kittens still like to suckle from mum and so we allow them to wean naturally, to ensure our kittens are completely developed both physically and mentally.
We do sometimes allow kittens to be placed with small, registered, ethical breeding programmes - please enquire for breed prices and further information.
We DO NOT charge extra for 'show rights' as all of our kittens tend to be show quality anyway.
Pet price is £1500 and an upfront, non-refundable deposit of £400 is requested to secure your chosen baby.
