Taco little lad 2nd Chance Adoptions Kentish Town area U.K.
Taco went to live on a boat after leaving for the U.K. on April 27th 2024 & he was a happy boy. Through no fault of the little lads the owner changed her mind on having him and in her words said, ‘he’s done nothing wrong- he’s perfect’. If anyone wishes for validation we can provide it though right now we just need to focus on finding him a forever home. Stability, devotion & commitment is always paramount where an animal is concerned though never more so than when they have already suffered losses. We ask for serious enquiries only.
Taco was from the moment I met him a lap dog - and it’s his signature move- he’ll
woo you with his affable & delightful disposition but it’s that want of your knee without question that could melt a glazier. Taco has never been loved & never belonged- he was born in a dog hating country & he’s never been unkind & has never been remote. How remarkable! He doesn’t belie his miserable & lonely existence- he just puts it behind him & adapts seamlessly to whatever ‘life’ presents him with. His charm, persistence, want to be involved, desire for life, tactile ways (he loves spooning) & adaptability is nothing short of phenomenal. He’s brave actually. Despite his most recent rejection so soon after arriving in England, being placed with various folk in the lead up until finally being left with a kind friend of the current owners- he’s shown no signs of giving up or obvious stress. He’s a bit of a hero is Taco. We have his European bio & videos upon request & present his U.K. show case & profile here for your consideration.

And without further ado a day in the life of Taco in his current owners words from the boys perspective:-
“ After a peaceful night of sleep I wake up around 8am ready for a snuggle and a good morning smooch. After waiting patiently for you to get dressed I’m eager for a sniffy walk - if I’m to have a longer walk today, now is when I’d be most excited for one! I take my time on sniffy walks and love to embrace all the smells in my area but I’m very good and don’t try to eat any stray poo! I like to say hi to other dogs on walks but prefer if my person lets me greet them briefly and keep walking otherwise I might get stressed! I don’t mind at all if another dog wants to join us for the walk! I don’t pull on the lead unless I see a squirrel, I’m very responsive to my person because I want to please them and maybe if I'm good they will give me a treat (dried sprat is one of my favourites). I’ll probably do my business after having no accidents all night!
Once I'm back from my walk it's time for breakfast! I'm very good and will sit for you
and I'm learning really quickly how to wait. For breakfast I will hoover down whatever you’d like to give me, I love kibble and wet food as well as a raw egg and some chicken necks if I can have it. I’m not aggressive towards people, you can put your hand in my bowl and I won’t mind! After breckie I am happy to cruise about. I’ll ask for cuddles if you’re hanging out with me but I’m otherwise quite happy to settle and gnaw on a marrow bone. Having another walk in the afternoon would be amazing!! I will even go for a run with you if you like! I’m a zippy wee guy and will keep up with you I bet!
Despite all this I am not a high energy guy, I love hanging out with my person and just want to get involved in what you’re doing. I have some really cool tricks up my sleeve which makes me look like I’m dancing with my hands up! Oh and a classic paw! Give me a treat and a scratch and I’ll try to do anything you ask of me.
A wee walk in the evening will make my day so much better and then after a smaller dinner, I’d love to snuggle up and watch a movie. (breakfast is my favourite meal so I eat the most then and I hope I get some treats during the day for being a good boy.)
After we’re done hanging out and it’s time for bed if I am allowed to I really really love curling up next to you and being so silly showing you my tummy. I settle down really quickly and once I’m asleep I don’t move til the morning. Even if you’re a wiggly sleeper I will just readjust a let you get comfy!
Then oh heck yeah, we get to wake up and cuddle again!”
