I am having to rehome my beautiful amazon bird who is 16 years old unfortunately due to the usual amazon noises and being louder than my conure and my ring neck, my neighbour is unhappy and I dont want to cause lasting problems with someone I may potentially live next door to for a long time. She is a lovely bird, and well looked after. Glossy coat, healthy although whatever colour perch I have her on her feathers are stained a bit that colour from rubbing. Atm its purple. She's a little picky over which material you're wearing to step up out of cage (for instance an oodie) so I have to leave cage door open for her to come out if I have mine on. Sadly she can't fly, so there will be no flight in the house, she just walks around on floor or my shoulder. Her wings were clipped when she was a baby by someone no idea who as I didnt own her back then and she has never learned how to fly, and I haven't been able to teach her, she just doesn't seem to realise she can use her wings.
To time wasters, believe me I've had plenty. Do your research on amazon's and then decide if she's the bird for you.
Because of the tons of messages i get like mentioned above price is non negotiable far too many time wasters. This is a bird that lives a long time not a budgie. She still has atleast another 40 years in her yet. She is a much loved bird and I won't let her go to someone who wants to pay £200 for a bird who's life is worth a lot more. If you're serious about her, this won't matter. I'm happy to keep her with me till the right person comes along. Neighbour will just have to put up with it till I find perfect 🏡 The cost is to ensure adopters are serious and not going to waste time or mistreat and have room in their life for a bird who will be a family member for a long time. Please also research noise these birds make. You will need a carry case when you come to get her, I have one but will cost £10.
