We are a small private kennel, breeding labrador, springer and cocker spaniel small working dogs. I have also bred and shown poodles. This led us into breeding crossbreeds. We bred our first labradoodle 17 years ago. We have over 20 yrs experince breeding showing and training dogs. We also run a small dog training and behaviour centre and a dog grooming salon 'Hair and Hound' from our premises. I also work as a breeding consultant for large kennels. We have many years experince in training gundogs and run teams on local shoots. My husband is a retired police dog handler and trainer. He does the majority of our training. We only advocate positive reinforcement methods of training. We have also bred some very succesful working gundogs currently competing in open trials and search dogs. We have also bred and trained dogs for professional work such as search and explosives detection. We have labradoodles working as assistance and low sugar detection dogs. We are licensed breeders and are regularly inspected by the local authority and vets. Anyone breeding more than three litters a year requires a licence. You will see many advertisers listed as frequent breeders but listed as not licenced. This should not be the case. All frequent breeders should be licensed. We breed dogs for temperament, health and trainability. All our pups are well socialised with children and other animals and are fully vet checked before leaving. We provide lifelong advice to our owners and always provide a home for one of our pups if need be. We also DNA profile our stud dogs for conditions affecting their breed to ensure that they are both clear and non carriers. In line with current legislation all our pups are micro chipped and come with individual puppy ID cards. This is now a legal requirement. All dogs should have this paperwork. We also use a sales contract for peace of mind. We have many happy owners and do everything we can to make sure that the process of buying and settling in a new puppy goes well. From the conditions the pups are born in to the care details they leave with. Nothing is left to chance. You will always be able to meet both the parents of any of our litters. We will also often have grandparents and pups from previous litters. We also have a small shop on site and can provide crates and puppy starter packs at reduced prices providing the items you do need and nothing you don't.
