Description

❤️🐶 CARRIE – A Delicate Soul Who Needs a Gentle Start 🐶❤️ 🏠 ALREADY IN UK – URGENTLY LOOKS FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT🏠 🇬🇧 Burton-upon-Trent DE15 🌟 RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption 🐶 CARRIE is a petite and tender little girl, around 3 years old, with soft spaniel-like ears and a sweet expression that melts your heart. Possibly a Chihuahua cross, she looks much bigger in photos but is actually the size of a cat—an enchanting little companion with so much love to give, if only someone would offer her the right start. 🇬🇧 She is already in the UK and urgently looking for a foster or forever home. Highlights 🔹 SIZE: Small (34–35 cm shoulder height / 8-9 kg – but very lightweight and dainty!) ⚕ SPAYED/NEUTERED: Yes ⭐ CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Gentle, affectionate, shy at first, curious 🐕 DOGS: Friendly – happy as only pet or with another kind, calm dog. Great with dogs 🐱 CATS: Not tested 👶 CHILDREN: Best with calm, dog-savvy children 12+ Recent Update A few days ago, Carrie arrived to a lovely family with a view to adopt, but sadly it wasn’t the right match. Today she returned to our care. Despite our best efforts to explain the need for quiet decompression during the first few days, a few mistakes were made—Carrie was taken for a long walk the day after arrival and even brought to a shop. For a little dog with a shy nature and traumatic past, this overwhelming exposure triggered stress. Carrie showed signs of fear-based behaviour, including growling at the children and avoiding interaction. Understandably, this made the family feel she wasn’t the right fit. 💔 Carrie is not a “problem dog”—she’s simply a victim of overwhelming change in her life since arrived just a few days ago and a past of neglect, and she needs gentle handling and a structured, quiet space to regain her sense of safety. Rescue Story: 🐶 CARRIE’s early life was heartbreaking. She lived with a mentally ill person who often forgot about her, leaving her without food or care for days. When she was rescued, she was a fragile, fearful soul who had never known consistency or affection. With over a year in a loving foster home in Ukraine, she made remarkable progress—becoming curious, playful, and starting to trust again. Detailed Information: 🐶 Carrie is blossoming into a joyful little character—she loves gentle play, is motivated by treats, and enjoys being close once she trusts you. She’s not pushy or boisterous; instead, she’s softly affectionate and quiet. She will need a few calm days to decompress in any new environment, followed by gradual introductions to everyday life. A quiet, adult-only home (or one with calm, dog-savvy children over 12) would be ideal. She can live with another gentle, well-balanced dog, but she would also do well as the only dog in a peaceful home where she can be the centre of someone’s quiet world. Ideal Family 🏡 Carrie needs a calm, structured home with people who understand that building trust takes time. A slow, gentle approach will allow her to feel safe and loved again. She is not suitable for busy or noisy households. She would suit a family who values quiet companionship and can offer her patience and reassurance as she settles. 🐶 Carrie has come so far. With her dainty frame and soulful eyes, she’s ready to be someone’s loyal and loving shadow—but only if given the space and time to bloom. She doesn’t ask for much—just peace, kindness, and someone who will love her softly. Health Information: 🐶 Carrie is fully healthy. Spayed. Vaccinated. Microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a licensed laboratory test certificate). 💌 If you can offer foster or foster-to-adopt, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9 🔗 Foster Form: https://forms.gle/yE66hpgwdU9bnQsAA 📩 If you've filled out a form before, simply comment/send message us on WhatsApp: https://wa.me/447932590993 to register your interest!
