Elio is the most chilled out boy! He loves people and other dogs never faze him. He loves to play chase and be chased by other dogs!
He doesn’t bark and welcomes everyone he meets with his very waggy tail.
He can be left for up to 3-4 hours, (preferably with a chew), he is completely house trained and sleeps all through the night without a murmur. He also travels well in the car and has been on buses and trains with no issues!
Elio would enjoy the company of another dog to play with although could also be an only dog in the home if he has regular play dates and socialisaiton.
He is extremely scent oriented so letting him off the lead is a big no unless you are in a secure field or have his recall completely secured. He is very food orientated which will help with his training and he needs someone who is committed to working with him when those pesky squirrels run past!
Elio has Leishmaniasis, however has had his initial treatment and is living well on a low maintenance dose. He can live a long and happy life with the right care and just needs 6 monthly blood test for the next 12 months to ensure the treatments are working as expected.
