FOR ADOPTION - BERTIE - EASTLEIGH
Bertie is a 5 year old Cockapoo.
He has lots of amazing qualities. He’s very well behaved outside of the home. He enjoys his walks, is good with dogs and has great recall.
He doesn’t moult.
Bertie was surrendered to us due to resource guarding. He guards his food bowl, some toys and his bed. You’ll need two toys for a game of fetch because he gets worried thinking you’re stealing his toys.
Resource guarding can be improved upon and there is a comprehensive training plan in place which seeks to help Bertie feel more comfortable.
Bertie is polite in the home, he is house trained, is not destructive and can be left for part of the day. He has been living in a multi dog home, management will be easier if he’s the only dog in his new home.
With the right approach and management Bertie will flourish. He really has so much love to give for a patient and understanding adopter. The resource guarding isn’t his fault, nor is he doing it intentionally.
Bertie could potentially be rehomed with teenage children.
