About Belle: Belle is a stunning 11-year-old Thoroughbred mare, perfect for someone that’s wanting a project. She has got an amazing personality once settled in. This is a very sad sale due to new job opportunities and not having the time unfortunately. Selling from field as they are on our own land and we don’t have facilities for riding, been out of work over a year.
What Belle Offers:
Flatwork: Schools beautifully on the flat, can definitely see some potential for dressage if that’s what you are interested in, she just needs the right person with the right amount of time and effort to put in.
Jumping: she Jumps confidently (60-80cm), although I only experienced jumping her a handful of times she was amazing with me being a novice rider and never jumped before.
Personality: Belle truly has a heart of gold. She loves being groomed, bathed, and fussed over, and stands patiently for the farrier, vets, clipping, physio and dentist etc. she’s great at loading/unloading.
Temperament: Belle’s temperament overall is really great, she can be a very laid back mare, she can become quite green when bringing back into work as I have experienced myself, occasionally displaying a playful buck or spook. However, she is not dangerous and me as a novice ride when I first got her could handle her playfulness.
Best Home for Belle: I feel as though she would thrive best under the guidance of a confident and experienced rider who can bring out her best. I truly believe with the right person she will be able to achieve a lot of things and she will excel in anything thrown her way. I definitely think Belle is a horse that will really gain potential being in regular work. But since she’s been out of work for over a year she will need someone willing to put in the work and get her back fit.
