Looking for a home for our lovely bulldog cross.
Please read carefully before getting in contact as I want to be fully upfront and find the best permanent home for Stanley as he is not the easiest of dogs.
He is a great dog at home with us and our kids and gets on great with our British bulldog but he is very energetic and can be way too much for her, he constantly want to play with her and as she is getting older she just can’t cope with it.
Stanley needs someone with experience or willing to put a lot of time into training.
He is very clever and picks training up well but is a menace and can be hard work but is a proper little character.
He needs a lot of exercise at least 2 good runs a day.
He is good with other dogs.
He can be a bit boisterous but is always friendly and just wants to be chased.
On the lead he pulls we’ve done a lot of work with it and it’s improved but is still not great as he gets so excited when he sees other dogs and is constantly on alert.
Off the lead he is great at playing with sticks and loves a walk through fields and woods and recall is great when nobody else around but if he sees another dog he’s not listening until he’s gone and played.
At home he will bark at the TV if he see dogs and will bark if someone knocks on the door.
He will always great us at the door with a toy and is calm and happy to see us but will jump up at first when people outside the family come into the house and he will bark at unfamiliar men.
He is fine to be left for periods of time but if you leave a bin or food accessible he will find it and eat it.
He is fully toilet trained and has no accidents.
He has no health issues, has been neutered and has been regularly flea and wormed and had boosters.
I feel he needs a home where either he is the only dog or with a dog with similar energy levels with people who are happy for constant play.
He loves to play with a ball or tug toys in the garden so a garden is a must.
He is not aggressive in the slightest and is great with my 3 kids but can be too much if my kids have friends over as he jumps up so I would suggest no young kids would be more suitable.
