Her Story – A Second Chance at Life
Daisy’s (was Daphne) journey hasn’t been easy. This 9-month-old Beagador (Beagle x Labrador) puppy likely started her life as a “Christmas present” that didn’t work out. Her first owners struggled to manage her lively personality in a small flat, and she was at risk of being put to sleep after all rescues, they called before reaching us refused to help. Thankfully, Paw Help kind-hearted foster family stepped in to save her in the nick of time.
Now, after just three weeks in their care, Daisy has blossomed into a loving, joyful, and intelligent puppy. She’s ready to find a family who will cherish her boundless energy, curiosity, and affectionate nature.
Her foster mum shares:
💬 “Daisy is such a lovely dog. She has a gorgeous nature, loves a fuss, and gives the best cuddles. She’s full of puppy energy but also quick to settle after playtime. She’s truly a joy to have around.”
SIZE: Medium-sized (typical Beagador build)
SPAYED: No, hasn’t had her first season yet
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Affectionate, playful, intelligent, eager to learn
DOGS: Good with dogs; prefers calm introductions
CATS: Untested
CHILDREN: Best with older kids (7+) due to puppy mouthing
Detailed Information – What Makes Daisy So Special
Daisy is a delightful mix of energy and affection. She’s the perfect balance of playful and loving, enjoying long walks, tug-of-war games, and belly rubs. After exercise, she’s happy to snooze and relax by your side.
Her foster mum describes her as “a curious explorer” who adores sniffing out new adventures on her walks. Daisy’s leash manners have improved significantly with a halti collar, though she’s still working on not pulling. Her intelligence shines in her quick learning—she already knows sit, down, paw, wait, and come and has excellent recall on a long lead.
💬 “Daisy loves people and is always eager to meet new friends. She does best when allowed to approach strangers on her own terms, and her sweet, playful personality quickly wins them over.”
Daisy would love a home with a secure garden and regular access to playmates, either canine companions or friendly dogs she can meet regularly. While she’s an absolute sweetheart, she’s still a puppy and can get overstimulated, leading to mouthing or nipping during play. For this reason, she’s better suited to a home with older children who can understand her excitement and redirect her behavior gently.
Daisy is a foodie at heart! While she’s learning table manners and now waits patiently in her bed while her foster family eats, she still loves to “counter surf” and needs a watchful eye. She’s thriving on a high-protein diet to help her gain a little healthy weight.
Ideal Family
Daisy’s ideal family will be active and experienced with energetic breeds. She’ll thrive in a home where she gets plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training. A household with older children or adults who understand the needs of a playful puppy would be perfect for her. While she’s happy as the sole dog, she’d also benefit from a friendly, confident dog to show her the ropes and share playtime.
Daisy is a beautiful puppy with so much love to give. Her affectionate nature, quick learning, and playful spirit will bring endless joy to the right family. Could that family be yours?
💬 “Daisy has so much potential. With the right family, she’ll blossom into the most amazing companion. She deserves a home where she’s truly cherished.”
