About Pip
Pip arrived at the shelter after being found as a stray in Cyprus, the same old story. She had no microchip, and no one came looking for her, so sadly she’s now looking for her new forever home. We made the decision for Pip to travel to a UK foster home on the 23rd February, following multiple adoption enquiries that ended up being false starts. She is now settling into her temporary digs in Worthing, West Sussex, and doing so well!
We have been raving about what a lovely puppy Pip is, and now finally in foster we hope more people can see it too! At just ten months old, she’s still just a baby, but she’s taking everything in her stride and adapting to this new lease of life incredibly well. She is currently living alongside a resident dog who’s more reserved and anxious than she is, and she’s doing her best to encourage him to play and be her friend. During her time in Cyprus she shared her kennel with multiple other dogs and has never had any issues socialising, so we think she’d be able to live alongside other pups happily. Equally, she is super human oriented so would be quite content in the spotlight as well!
Pip adores affection and is always giving kisses and cuddles. She is super snuggly and loves inching up to you as close as she possibly can on the sofa. She has only recently discovered the joy of toys, and has been loving them! She likes to hoard all of them, collecting them one by one to create a bed of toys which she then falls asleep on! She also likes being tucked up in a soft blanket for a snooze.
Pip sleeps well through the night, waking up around 6am to administer a kiss attack to her foster mum until she takes her out for her morning wee. She’s learning to walk nicely on the lead, she’s already picking up great recall skills, and when she gets excited at the park she tears around the place at the speed of light! She has no reservations about making new canine friends in the park and is more than comfortable instigating play which is lovely to watch.
Since arriving in the UK Pip has enjoyed her very first pup cup, been to the dog park, travelled in the car, and met lots of children. She has been around kids as young as 18 months up to the age of twelve, and has been great with all of them. She’s also not shown any notable interest in cats and could potentially live with dog-savvy felines. She will make a fantastic family companion and someone is going to be very, very lucky to welcome her into their home.
Pip is currently based in Worthing, West Sussex, and has a clean bill of health. She is ready to meet her forever family whenever they’re ready for her!
