Description
Arla, our 8 month old cocker spaniel, unfortunately has to be rehomed due to my daughter’s skin condition regressing after treatment.
Arla is a bright girl, she loves to play outside and with balls. She loves people, although she can be a bit nervous around new dogs, but eventually gets used to them if they get along.
She knows basic commands such as sit and down. We have been working on her “middle” and “wait” command. A negative thing about arla is she gets overstimulated outside and it causes her to not care about her surroundings, which eventually leads to her pulling on the leash which is why I recommend arla goes to somebody who is experienced with gun-dogs, can fulfill all of her needs, or can afford a trainer for her.
Arla is also a picky eater, her favourite foods are chicken, beef, cheese, salmon. She will sometimes eat peas, broccoli and carrots, rice and potatoes. I often find that I have to mix her favourite foods with her kibble so that she will eat it. She likes puffed pig snouts, beef trachea and rabbit ears aswell as a treat.
I do not recommend arla goes to a family with small children as she can get very hyper and jumpy.
Other than that, arla is an amazing pup and she deserves to go to a good home. We have been working on her scent work with toys, treats and spices and she is getting very good. Arla is potty trained and loves to explore new places. She sleeps alone at night downstairs, so she should be able to settle in at night within a few days. Arla has not destroyed any of her toys or balls so far which is good and has saved alot of money.
Arla’s new owner will be able to take all of her belongings, including her toys, her bed, her balls, her food and water bowls, her collars and leashes.
Please let me know if you are a good fit for Arla, price is negotiable as we are sad to see her go and want the best for her.
