Description

Due to no fault of his own but putting his best interests first I’m making the difficult decision to rehome Murphy due to him not getting the exercise and time he needs. He is a 2 year old Merle coloured labradoodle but does shed so is not hypoallergenic. He is a loyal lovely boy with tonnes of energy who needs lots of walks exercise and stimulation. He is fully housetrained and crate trained but struggles to settle within the house without being occupied by a bone ect. He sleeps in his crate and goes in it when we pop out and can be left for short periods on his own as he settles nicely in his crate. He is very strong on the lead so wears a halti head collar to help with control, off the lead he is great has good recall and loves a run on the beach and splash in the sea. I feel loose lead walking could easily be achieved with some time and training. He’s excellent in the car. He’s only ever been the only pet in the home will chase cats and can sometimes be too much for some dogs due to his playful nature. This is a very hard decision and I would like him to go to a 5 star plus home where he can have loads of attention and walks/ exercise he is very boisterous so would say a home with older children would be best as he can jump up at people although has never growled or been agressive in any way he just wants to play, he struggles with new people coming into the house he just gets very excited and doesn’t know what to do with himself. A quiet home with minimal visitors will be best. He is 2 years old and up to date with all vaccinations and flea and wormer treatment, but he is not neutered I would like occasional updates to see how he’s doing if possible. He has never been destructive with furniture but is with toys, blankets, beds etc and will chew/ swallow these if not supervised. He will come with his xl crate, bowls, food and vaccination records he’s microchipped so new owners will need to get this changed. Hoping to find him the perfect home and family to spend the summer with he loves a swim in the sea, rivers, lakes and a run on the beach, please message if you would like more info or feel you could be a good fit for him, located in the north Devon area. Price is negotiable a suitable forever home is more important!
