Description
We’ve owned Meg for most of my daughter’s life. Meg was her first horse and has been her best friend all these years. My daughter is now almost 16. Sadly we now need to sell her. Meg is an ideal family starter horse, she’s the most loving mare with not a bad bone in her. She’s got 3 steady paces and by no means overly forward. She’s a steady girl. Meg does not jump and never has, she also does not favour school work she much prefers to be out hacking. She will hack out alone or in company and is happy in any position. She has lived happily alone for the last 5 years, Meg likes her comforts and likes her stable especially in bad weather. She has been stabled at night in the winter and on bad weather days all her life. Meg is also happy just mooching around if you have a farm or small holding. She’s often at the lounge window begging for cookies 🤣. To be honest she’s like a pet dog! She’s excellent for the farrier and is fully shod every 6-8weeks. She has a large haynet in the evenings as she’s in a small paddock and grass is sparse. In the winter she has one in the morning and one in the evening. She’s no trouble to clip. My daughter will ride Meg bareback and bitless on hacks but also has full tack and some rugs. Meg does not need to be ridden daily she can go weeks and months with no change in behaviour. It’s very important to us that Meg is found the best home and that we can stay in touch, she’s not just a horse to us she’s my daughter’s best friend. Happy to discuss reason for sale with potential purchasers. Megs bad points She doesn’t like tractors, she doesn’t bolt etc but will dance on the spot and prefers if you dismount and stand with her while they pass. She has been seen by Patrick Gracey for loading and will load with his technique. Video is on his TikTok Meg had a ligament injury about 5 years ago this is healed and not shown any signs of issue since. Meg has to be sedated for the dentist. We would consider long term loaning also.
