Description

💙🐶 IMAS – A Beautiful Soul Looking for Safety and Patience 🐶💙 📍 Located: Burton-on-Trent  IMAS (previously known as Imar) is a 2-year-old, medium sized boy. This bright, loyal dog is affectionate, loving, and wants nothing more than to bond with someone kind and consistent. But he’s also had a tough past. He likely lived a life of guarding and survival. His soul is soft, but his early experiences taught him to be alert, protective, and at times defensive. He needs an experienced, adult-only home, ideally in the countryside or a quiet area, where he can settle without overstimulation and continue his journey of healing. 🌟 Highlights 🔹 SIZE: Medium (53 cm / 20 kg) 🔹 NEUTERED: Yes 🔹 CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Loyal, affectionate at home, sensitive, protective 🔹 DOGS: No – can be reactive to dogs 🔹 CATS: No – chases 🔹 CHILDREN: Not suitable with younger kids– reacts to running/jumping and sudden movements 🔹 LEFT ALONE: Cries when you leave, but settles after a while 💔 Rescue Story Imas’ rescue story began in the most unusual and moving way: he jumped into a stranger’s open car and sat down like he’d found where he was meant to be. He was tired, thin, and clearly searching for someone to trust. That was the beginning of his journey to safety—but it’s not the end of his story. He still needs the right person to help him feel safe, loved, and understood for the rest of his life. 🐶 Foster Assessment – Honest, Loving, and Real Imas is wonderful in the home—he’s house-trained, knows where his food and drink are, doesn’t take food from the plate, and only tried the counter once! He is affectionate, craves strokes and cuddles, and gets truly joyful when you return home. He’s been very good with routine: morning and evening walks are his anchors. He needs at least 1–1.5 hours of walking a day to feel balanced. If not given this, he becomes restless and stressed. ⚠ Imas struggles with anxiety, especially outside and around sudden movements or strangers. He has shown reactivity when startled by running, loud voices, or unpredicted gestures. He does not tolerate children and must not be placed in a home with kids. He is wary of men, though with calm, slow introductions (as with the foster’s husband), he quickly learn to trust. Outside, he must wear a muzzle. He reacts to dogs, cats, runners, bikes, scooters, and even strangers walking too close. He is best walked in quiet areas and would do beautifully in a rural, low-traffic environment where he isn’t constantly overwhelmed. The foster believes he was likely raised to be a guard dog and was probably abused—he displays the scars of harsh discipline, but he’s trying hard to learn that people can be kind. “He’s a gorgeous boy and with love and care, he will learn to flourish.” 🏡 Ideal Home Imas needs a quiet, adult-only home with no children, no cats, and no other dogs. He would do best in a rural or countryside location, with safe walking areas where he won’t be overstimulated. A home with a secure garden, time for routine walks, and an experienced handler who understands guarding or reactive breeds would be ideal. This boy is ready to give his heart to the person who will help him feel safe and teach him that the world is not a threat. Imas is not an immediately “easy” dog—but he is a real and rewarding companion. If you are looking to help a dog who has had a hard start but still has so much love inside, Imas is worth it. He needs someone to show him that his job now is not to protect but to be protected. He is loving, smart, and gentle with those he trusts—and with time, trust can grow. Let’s help this beautiful boy find the peaceful corner of the world where he can truly belong. 🩺 Health Information ⚕ IMAS is fully healthy. Neutered. Fully vaccinated and microchipped. 🧪 All dogs are C.Brucella tested before travel (owners receive a laboratory test certificate). 💌 If you can offer home or foster-to-adopt, please fill out a form: 🔗 Foster-to-Adopt/Adoption Form : https://forms.gle/vHdDRdjFzXngqzUC9
