We are looking for a GSD pup to join our family in the spring/summer. Ideally before the school holidays commence so routines can be introduced. We have 3 children in the household who will be aged 4, 7 and 8 in the summer. Our middle child has a severe and complex learning disability and autism. We currently have a jack Russell bitch and a male Ragdoll cat. Both are social with other dogs. I have a lot of large breed dog experience, previously I’ve owned Rhodesian ridgebacks and dobermans, my last large breed dog was a mix of the two breeds and he passed away at almost 12 years of age. He was magnificent.
I am not looking for any dog, I am looking for the right one. I am not leaning towards a specific gender, my instinct tells me to go with a dog but the right one is the right one. We would like a short coat, straight backed GSD. We would like to meet both parents as temperament is of the absolute upmost importance here. We would like a well balanced pup that’s been born and raised within a family environment, used to the hustle and bustle. Not exhibiting anxious or nervousness. We would like a solid family pet to join us on our outdoor adventures.
We love rurally in a small village in East Yorkshire near the coast. I am a keen walker and walk daily between 2 and 10 miles. I care for my son so am predominantly around although we do of course go out, there would be no long durations of time or dogs are left. I am a keen trainer and would be attending classes for consistency and socialising purposes. I also will be taking city walks weekly for training purposes. I have done so much research into what will be a good fit for us as a family. A well bred GSD fits the bill and I’m willing to wait for the right dog as we want a lifetime family member to make memories with. We don’t have a limitless budget but it’s healthy.
Ideally we would like to make a few visits so someone within 100 miles of East Yorkshire would be ideal as we need this to be completely right. If you think you have a litter upcoming that would be suitable please get in touch.
