ALVA’s start in life was full of danger. She and her five siblings were just tiny pups when they were discovered near a road on the edge of an abandoned village. They darted across the road, oblivious to the cars that could have easily harmed them. Nearby, volunteers found a heartbreaking scene—a dog hit and killed by a car, likely their mother.

ALVA is a joyful, playful girl who thrives on human connection. She’s smart, trainable, and eager to please, making her a delight to work with. Occasionally, her excitement leads her to tug at sleeves or trousers to encourage play, but she quickly settles when gently guided. She also has a calm side, loving her naps as much as she loves her playtime.
ALVA hasn’t been tested with cats but is very friendly with other dogs and would benefit from a furry playmate in her new home.
