Description
INTRODUCING PANS 8 year old Male 💥💥Available for ADOPTION💥💥Fine with other dogs and with cats. Currently in Southport, Merseyside. Pans is a beautiful older gent, on the larger side of medium. (He is currently 24kgs, but would ideally get down to about 21kgs for optimum health). Pans travelled over from Romania four years ago, and lived in a foster home until very recently. Unfortunately, his foster fed him with human food, so Pans became very overweight, and less mobile. Since he moved to his new foster home a month ago, Pans has been put on a suitable diet, and he has lost 4kgs already, with about another 3kgs left to lose. As a result, he is much more mobile and is doing really well. He is fully housetrained. He lives happily with 9 other dogs, though he isn’t massively keen on playing actively with them, and prefers if they don’t invade his safe space. He is a calm, sweet dog, who would like to live in a calm household. He likes people – he doesn’t constantly seek attention, but he is delighted when he gets it. He enjoys cuddles, strokes and ear rubs in particular. Pans has been introduced to children aged 10+, and is good with them. So he would be fine to live with older, dog savvy children. He has also been introduced to cats – he was interested in them, but showed no aggression. So we are confident that he could live with dog savvy cats, given careful introductions. He enjoys his walks, and is fine on the lead and harness. He loves to amble along and sniff everything – he behaves very well outside. If he meets strange dogs when he is on walks, he isn’t bothered or particularly interested. He travels fine in the car. Pans has already learned some basic commands, and his recall is coming along nicely. He is very responsive to treats, to training is relatively easy. He has no food aggression at all. Pans would be a really great companion in a calm home, where he can be assured of love and affection, and a healthy diet, and regular walks. If you would like to adopt Pans, and understand the commitment you are making when you take on a rescue dog, please complete the form using the link below, or ask one of our volunteers and they will be happy to help.😇😇 The Responsible Dog Rescue provides incredible support to all fosters and new adopters. We are a community, and we help each other. We have behaviour experts, and lots of experienced fosterers, on hand to help you. We always advise slow and supervised introductions to other pets, and of course, always have safe introductions to children. For adopting dogs, all children in the household must be at least 5 years old. Direct access to a private, secure garden is preferred, though we will consider homes without gardens for Pans.
