Re Pics: I have added pics of mum and dad so you have an idea how how your puppy will look fully grown and then pics of this litter. As this is Lola’s second litter, pics of her puppies (as puppies or adults) can be sent to you upon request. This will give you an idea of how the puppies will look when older. More pics will be added as the puppies develop.
Obviously no breeder can truthfully guarantee 100% a non shedding coat, as ALL dogs shed, even poodles. However instead of dropping to the floor the shedded hair becomes entangled in the coat, creating matted lumps, hence the need for daily brushing. As Monty is multi generational and Lola second generation labradoodle it would be unlikely if these pups did drop hair. With doodles the puppy coat can be different to the adult coat, there can be changes to colour over time too. Mum and dad both have a soft wavy coat and amber eyes so I would envisage these puppies to have the same as adults.
These are a large dog, as Dad is 62cm (24 inches) to the withers (top of shoulder) and mum 56cm (22 inches) to the withers. I would expect the puppies to be a similar height. Although Monty’s dad was 27 inches to his withers and there was a puppy that must have inherited his granddad’s tall genes. Our four dogs are the heart of our home and get lots of attention from everyone. Local children call Monty the teddy bear and you can’t walk him without people wanting to stop and cuddle him. Both parents socialise well with other dogs as when out on a walk we often meet local dogs they play with. My sister also brings her dogs round for play dates. Both parents are highly intelligent and trainable. We have done agility training for fun, both are so eager to please and learn so quickly.
Mum is cafe au lait with gorgeous amber eyes, extremely affectionate standard labradoodle, called Lola. Lola will not allow you to not give her a cuddle as she will slowly creep up and lie on top of you looking up at you expectantly. Dad is our chocolate clumsy clown standard multi-generation labradoodle (mum F7, dad F3). There are a few white hairs beginning to come through so he is looking more like his granddad in his old age, who is a beautiful cafe au lait.
Puppies will come Vet checked fully wormed and flea treated 1 month pet plan insurance, microchipped, bag of food, scented blanket, puppy pads for journey home and a scented toy. Once you take your puppy home I will still be available for advice/support
Different vets use different vaccines so unless I know that your vet will definitely be able to administer compatible follow up vaccine, they will not be vaccinated. If your vet uses the same vaccine I am happy to get them vaccinated 1 or 2 days before collection. That way any tummy upset they get from injection will have passed for your journey home.
They will be used to going outside as part of their toilet training and be partially toilet trained when you take your fur baby home.
Also used to all usual household noises and children. in addition, intermittently starting on a low volume and increasing it, I will play thunder, fireworks and various other loud sudden noises they may experience in later life, as puppies need to be desensitise before they are 12 weeks old. If there are loud or sudden noises close to where you live, let me know and I can add them. I will also start training at least no, sit with a hopeful stay and leave.
Once a puppy is reserved I will add you to a WhatsApp group and send daily pics, videos, weights and updates. Once a puppy and name are chosen I will start using that name so your puppy will recognise it.
For those that reserve a puppy in first couple of weeks I create a list by gender and colour. At around 5-6 weeks I ask families to choose their exact puppy (choice is in order of contacting me). You can choose sooner If you are first on the list for your gender and colour, obviously you can choose sooner. For the last couple of weeks the daily videos seem more special and help you bond more with your future fur baby.
Viewing can start at 5 weeks, I am happy for you to make multiple visits if you wish to get to know your future fur baby. We live in a village in north Lincolnshire. If you have underlying health conditions or worries about covid rearing its head again, special arrangements can be made to bring your puppy to you, if that helps you. Many people use this breed for therapy dogs and many get PAT trained. From our last litter one of our puppies became the inseparable companion of an autistic child and really helps the child when he becomes stressed or anxious. A very happy ending for all.
If you are interested or have any questions at all please get in touch as we are keen to make sure you understand the needs of this breed. I hope you understand that we want our puppies to go to the best homes possible. For the next 8 weeks I rarely leave the house as I will invest all my time and energy into giving them the very best possible start in life. If you have any special circumstances/training needs, please let me know and I can start the training process early for you.
This breed are high maintenance, they require regular brushing and grooming as they easily matt and are playful dogs happiest when off lead running around fields/woods/water getting mucky and then curl up on you or your feet in the evening. They will need plenty of exercise once they have finished growing. (So you don’t create joint issues later in life their joints, I advise the 5 min rule for walking puppies 5 mins for every month old.)
There is one thing I can promise, the more you put in, the more love and affection you receive.
Any questions I’m happy to help.
