Description
Sweet little Jack is an affectionate boy who loves to sleep on your chest and cuddle up next to you :)
We were alerted to Jack by some concerned people who noticed that he was bleeding from his eyes and hadn’t moved for several hours. The vets confirmed that he’d picked up an eye infection that hadn’t been treated and one of them had already gone; they warned us that he was likely to lose the other. Courageous Jack battled through treatment and kept his second eye, but only has around 10% vision in it. For this reason, Jack must be an indoor cat forever. Other than that, Jack is just like any other cat - blind and partially sighted cats are really remarkable and their other senses (and whiskers!) come into play so they can jump, play and manoeuvre around your house absolutely fine (don’t believe what you read about never being able to move your furniture!) He won’t need any ongoing treatment.
Jack doesn’t mind being in a flat at all and is a little couch potato, happily sleeping away a lot of the day. He was in foster with another cat, who he loved, but now that his foster brother has been adopted, his personality is shining a little bit more and he’s more of a mischievous teenager, loving to tear up cardboard boxes, and play with string or rattling toys.
Jack can be startled by sudden movements and so we think he’d be best in an adult-only home or one with older children. He can be scared too by dominant cats so if you have another cat, it would be good if it was a gentle little soul like Jack.
Jack is microchipped, vaccinated and neutered and can’t wait to meet you :)
