Here we have the beautiful Merci who travelled directly from the streets in Bosnia to an amazing foster in the UK where she has been since and she is now ready for her forever home. Merci has a dominant character, she is bossy with other dogs once she gets to know them but not in an aggressive way, she is scared at first. She likes all humans, she gets on with most dogs but does prefer large male dogs and can try to be a bit of a bully to females. She is possessive over food and toys, Merci will rip up paper, tissues, puppy pads etc usually only if they are on the floor and she sometimes pulls covers/blankets off chairs and has a bit of a chew. She is ok to be left but does get bored hence ripping things up. Merci likes cats but is only able to live with dog savvy cats as she will chase and bark, she would be too much for a nervous cat. She can be a shoe thief, usually they are found under the stairs in her toy stash. She is still learning regarding house training and will have accidents over night. She is a high energy dog, she is ok on the lead but will need further training. She is very much a terrier, barks a lot at any noise. Is scared initially with new people which manifests as lots of barking so ideally needs to meet someone a few times. Lacks confidence in new places but much better if with another calm dog. Once Merci gets to know you she is a cuddly sweetheart. Loves a snuggle on the sofa, loves a ball game and will bring it back to you, loves squeaky toys and just a great fun little dog once you get past the barking. She ideally would like someone who has a lot of time for her, she loves to play and gets the zoomies regularly. Preferably with another dog in the home, ideally a large calm male who doesn't mind her jumping up at them and licking their face, to give her the confidence she initially lacks.
