We are looking for a new home for our 8 month old Golden Retriever. This is absolutely breaking our hearts so please only serious enquiries.
We have had him since he was 3 months old and have done everything we can to have our resident dog accept him but it just isn't working and we have to accept it isn't fair on either of them.
He desperately wants to be her friend and she desperately wants to be the only dog in the house.
He is absolutely full of beans. Always has a toy in his mouth and a wagging tail, he has been our little ray of sunshine.
He is nervous of new people and situations at first but his confidence is much better with another dog so we'd want him to go to a home with a resident dog that would be happy to have him.
He loves all dogs, he's friends with cats and currently lives with 2.
He doesn't bond with people immediately but once he's built up a relationship with you he's very loyal.
He isn't used to being around small children and wouldn't like the noise and unpredictability of them so it would be best for him not to go to a home with young children. He is used to having human company for the majority of the day and doesn't like being left alone, he does tolerate this for a few hours at a time as long as he has canine company.
He's completely toilet trained. Being a puppy he's very excited on his walks so we're still working on walking nicely on the lead and recall and he is starting to get this.
He is high energy and loves to play, buffalo horns are his favourite thing to chew and he's very fond of brain games and loves shredding cardboard.
He's been raw fed since we got him and is doing well on it. Really healthy, beautiful coat.
He is fully vaccinated. His parents were health tested with no issues.
He is a lovable, goofy, charming boy and we are devastated to do this but it is the right thing for him. It has to be the right home for him with someone who is able to meet the needs of a high energy puppy that loves company, walks, play, chaos and cuddles.
