Freya is just over a year old and medium in size. She needs a kind and understanding home with another dog (or more), but no cats. It would be preferred for her to have a home with calm, older children or no children.
This sweet girl needs a supportive home. Sadly, Freya has become quite fearful of people in general, but especially of men. Her fears increase when strangers enter her home, and so this will need managing. When she lived with other dogs these fears weren't really seen in her, and so we feel that another confident dog (or more) will be the key to helping her learn to be braver.
Freya is really very good with other dogs; showing polite and respectful behaviour towards them. Although, she can be a bit scared if another dog barks at her.
She knows many commands including the most common ones; sit, lie down, waits etc. She walks well on the lead, but can pull when excited. Her recall is good when there are no distractions like people or other dogs. When on a lead, she will wait to cross the road when asked.
Freya is a very intelligent girl who loves learning and playing. Once she knows you, she loves to have a cuddle. She is great in the car, is fully house trained, crate trained and muzzle trained. This lovely lady has also coped very well with being left alone in the house.
Freya is an almost perfect dog in every way, except for her insecurities around new people. We believe that she can be helped to overcome these fears with the right people and in the right environment.
