Loyal girl of 3-5yrs old, Inga is such an eye catching, joyful & tranquil soul combined & that spirit & desire to belong is faltering while she waits in earnest to be picked. She gives everything to every moment and moulds around everything & everyone. She appears to know that there is a chance she might leave (a chance that’s never come for her) and is a model girl in her efforts to ingratiate herself. Since November when I first met her I’ve been so taken up with the trials that do though shouldn’t impact rescuers that dogs like Inga didn’t get the exposure I wanted to give her and all of them. The months roll on and now it’s freezing weather and Ingas joints are suffering. The right person for her will want her because of that - to help her, keep her warm & provide the attention & care that prevents aching limbs.
We are going to treat her of course & I’ll personally send her with whatever she needs though firstly she requires a heart & a home.
For me the best way of presenting this girl is to describe a visit she had recently with a ‘prospective adopter’. Inga must have sensed she might have an opportunity and excited to leave the enclosure she apparently put her all into walking and behaving as though she had no discomfort & to be everything that anyone might be looking for in a dog. It got her nowhere and she was notably bereft afterwards when she was put back in the enclosure. She wasn’t enough but she’s everything.
In January she was observed as ‘depressed’ and despite that she still wins the hearts of her animal loving visitors whether children or adults- she just isn’t being chosen and it’s proving detrimental to her emotional and general well-being
