Elf is a medium (26" tall = floor to neck) neutered male dog who is 4 years old. He is good with other dogs, and needs a female only home in the first instance.
This adorable boy is an affectionate, sensitive soul, who loves attention and who will be your shadow and best buddy (in the right home). He just loves snuggling on the sofa. He will stand for ages to have his ears stroked, and will come up to you for cuddles and hugs.
Elf is obedient and good on the lead, and enjoys his walks. He is friendly around other dogs too. His fosterer describes him as an, “absolute darling”.
Sadly, Elf has clearly been through some tough times and it is obvious he has been victim of a "heavy hand" - he will lie flat and terrified if spoken to abruptly.
He is frighted of men, and needs time, patience, understanding and lots of gentle, positive experiences to learn that men are OK, actually. Elf does currently have an affectionate relationship with a trusted male, so we know he can learn to trust, but will need support to gain confidence with all men.
Elf is just a gentle, sensitive soul who will reward the right person with love and affection. He completely deserves only kindness and love from now on.
