Currently named Blue, he is a lovely cat! We rescued him about 6 months ago from being a caged cat and kept in a bathroom. When he came to us his back legs were wasted due to lack of exercise. He was checked over at our local vets, chipped, vaccinated and neutered within a week of being with us. He found his feet very quickly and has learned to play well.
He has bundles of energy and has found a love for the outdoors (so far with no “presents” being brought to us!).
Blue gets along really well with humans and is very inquisitive and curious. He loves a chin scratch, and cuddling up on the sofa or in bed. He has an unbelievable appetite! Be careful to make sure food/bins/leftovers are out of his reach. He’s very talkative and very intelligent! He has learnt to open doors to a degree.
He gets along really well with dogs too. He quite often sleeps with our dog in her bed.
His only downside is his tolerance of other cats. We have two cats (8 and 13 years old) and, likely due to his restricted early life, he has struggled to integrate with them. This is our only reason for re-homing him. He will need to be in a household where there are no other cats and he can be the centre of attention. He has high energy and will thrive with parents who will play with him regularly.
We will be really sorry to see him go, but the current living situation for him is not fair on him, nor our other two.
As responsible cat parents, we would ideally like to see good evidence that he will be going to a good home that will love and nurture him and support his lifestyle.
Visits are very much welcomed and encouraged so you can see his nature. We have set a 10% deposit for the successful parent to pay once we mutually agree it’s a good fit, but no deposit is required to come and meet him of course. Price could be negotiable for the right parents, my wife and I are more concerned with finding a good fit for him.
