Truffles is a great dog! He is very much a people dog and gets on well with all of the other dogs at the shelter. He is quite an active dog and loves going out to play and run with the other dogs, especially Juno who is his favourite girlfriend as she matches his energy levels. He shares a kennel with her and they get on superbly well. However, he is also quite happy to just go off and do his own thing if nobody wants to play. Truffles can be a little growly with other dogs around his food while he is eating, but once he has finished he will leave his bowl and is not possessive of it. If Truffles is adopted by a family with a resident dog, they must understand that it is likely that he has had to search for food and is therefore quite attached to his bowl around other dogs. Truffles would therefore be better with a dog who will leave him alone while he eats (or who can be separated while eating). Though he was rescued from the municipal pound, we unfortunately do not know his history.
Truffles would love an active home with an active (ideally female) dog who he can have lots of fun with. Truffles isn't cat tested but isn't interested in the resident shelter hens. Please contact us if you would like to apply to adopt Truffles.

All of our dogs have an international passport (unless born in the UK) and are microchipped. They are fully vaccinated for standard diseases as well as rabies and kennel cough. All dogs are blood tested for infectious diseases including Leishmaniasis, Dirofilaria, Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma, Lyme and Brucella. All dogs, unless there are medical or behavioural reasons to not do so, will be sterilised. Truffles has been neutered. Please note that we will advise results and treatments upon successful application.
Adoption contract and fee, homecheck and lifetime RBU (rescue back-up) apply as standard.
