Looking for a loving home for my lovable French Bulldog. I am moving in with my partner and unfortunately they have a cat that is less than pleased with my dog’s attentions.
Seren is almost 2 years old. She is microchipped, vaccinated up to date and regular with her flea and worm and fully insured. She has recently had her health check and is healthy. There are no concerns regarding known breed issues and she is not neutered.
She is NOT KC registered. This has the added benefit of cheap insurance as she comes under a mixed breed even though she is a French bulldog
Seren is typical of her breed in that she is a giant baby, full of energy at times but also very lazy. She loves a good walk but hates the rain.
She knows commands like sit, stay, wait, come, lay down etc. she has some good basic training but is also stubborn and food motivated. She will eat food that is left unattended. She also has some allergies that are typical of her breed. I keep her on a raw food diet that negates this and is easy to follow.
Seren had been training as my assistance dog and has some good instincts on emotional status. She is amazing with children (I have a 6 year old) and although will play enthusiastically, has never become aggressive.
She is toilet trained, but will have accidents in the house if left alone for more than a few hours, and it can take her a while to adjust routine in new places (I have travelled to family’s homes) but if you stay on top of her and provide safe places for her to do her business she does adjust.
Seren loves dogs. A bit too much. She is very playful and just wants to play. But some dogs would find her energy too much. If housing with another dog She would suit a dog that can match her energy or one that is capable of ignoring her.
She was raised with cats at the breeders, but unfortunately is not great with cats we have come across. She’s not aggressive as far as I can tell, and wants to play, but doesn’t take no for an answer. Even when she is swiped at. She does not have brains in this department… so I would advise not to consider homing her if you have a cat unless your cat is capable of ignoring her from a safe distance or you have a feasible way to keep them separated.
Price is negotiable… I am far more interested in her going to a good home that would be happy to give me occasional updates. But I also don’t want her to go to just anyone that can’t provide.
