It is with a very heavy heart I am looking to potentially rehome our family tortoise.
She is approx 20 years old (will find her certificate to confirm)
At present she has a large area in our home and daily access to outdoor space in better weather.
She has her UVB bulb which is replaced every 6months (next due to be changed in June).
She has never been hibernated (we have never been confident enough to do this).
She has annual check ups at a local exotic vet, and had a beak trim 2 weeks ago.
She eats a variety of weeds, her favourites are plantain, dandelion, sticky weeds, nettles etc.
She will come with her free standing lamp, but not an enclosure.
The ideal set up for her would be a large open top indoor space, or an outdoor space for example a children’s play house, converted with soil for her to bury into.
Please only get in touch if you are experienced with tortoises and could offer her a forever home.
We are moving house and it will not be suitable to offer her the life she is used to.
We have her certificate which is a legal requirement when purchasing a tortoise.
