Meet Lycan, Lycan is very friendly towards her family and is very affectionate. She loves to lick you and jumps up for affection, she can however be a typical puppy and can be mouthy.
Lycan can be nervous of new people visiting the home. She would need a quiet home with minimal visitors. Lycan currently lives in an open plan home with no separation from visitors, she would therefore need a home with someone who can provide a quiet, separated space for her to retreat to when people visit and to allow her to decompress afterwards.
Lycan is very food motivated and especially loves meat products, she also loves her lick mats and cheese!” 💞
Lycan currently lives with a 10 year old who she is generally very good with, she gets very excited when he is around and often has zoomies. She would therefore be more suited to children aged 12+ 👶
Lycan has never been around dogs however it is felt due to her anxious behaviours that she would need another dog in the home to follow their lead and help gain her confidence. She would need slow and sensible introductions 🐾
Lycan can show a prey drive on walks and would therefore need a cat free home 🐈
Lycan accepts a collar however is very anxious of the harness and lead and is very fearful of going outside, she will run away and hide when she sees these. When outside on walks she can be very scared and will pull and try and hide or try to go back inside the house. She can be fearful around most things such as cars, noises, bikes as well as people and children. She is currently being walked very limited due to this and she will need a private and secure garden in her new home for her to use until she has built her confidence. A home in a quieter area is also essential for her so she can begin to learn to enjoy walks without feeling overwhelmed 🐕🦺
Lycan has been known to be destructive, this is usually very hightened when her anxiety is high such as after visitors, she can also display these behaviours when left alone and does suffer with seperation anxiety which means she cannot be left alone. It is felt the destructive behaviours may also be due to boredom due to her walks being reduced. Lycan will need a home with someone home all of the time until she can build up her confidence being on her own, having another dog in the home may improve this however it is not certain. Lycan will however sleep well overnight in her crate with no issues 💞
Lycan is a very playful girl and loves to play tug of war or run around with her stuffed animals 🧸
