2 Male adult Irish Red Setters have been together since birth. 2 years and 11 months old. They are brothers and get on very well together and would need to go to a home who could take both of them. They can't be seperated. They are healthy with no health issues. They are not neutered and this has not been a problem for them or us. Great personality and temperment. Their names come from the film " The Lion KIng". Simba is the affectionate one who loves to sit next to you and be near you. Simba is clever and will try to manipulate you with his sad eye stares. Scar on the other hand is more playful. Scar loves to fetch and chase Sticks or balls that are thrown for him. Scar will talk to you, informing you if he needs food or water. I could go on and on. They are now adult dogs and therefore have grown out of biting everything including the house. They are Loving dogs who need lots of attention and at least 2 long walks a day ! They enjoy running off the lead over fields. They are family dogs and have spent the last 2 and half years as such. They are used to children and have never been crated. As mentioned they have grown out of the biting/naughty stage and do not need crating. They will sleep anywhere their bed is. We are not in a rush to re-home them and will wait for the right home for them. Please be aware these 2 dogs will not be happy on their own for long periods. They need continued human contact and play. Ideally someone with a good sized garden.
The reason for rehoming is currently My wife is the main carer for them as I work unsocial shift work. I am 62 and My wife has been diagnosed with joint problems in knees and her shoulder. This will mean she can't give them the care that they need and deserve. We will eventually be unable to give them the long walks and running free that they need. The price advertised £1000 is for both dogs together.
