We are looking for a 5 star special home for this lovely boy. He is 17 months old, he has a lovely curly very low shedding coat. We took him in at 4 months old in a poor condition and have built him up with a good diet and lots of love. He does have some problems which is why it has taken us longer before being ready to find his forever home. Firstly, whilst no problem out on a lead passing other dogs, he does not like people. He is absolutely fine walking past, but he shies away from anyone he doesn’t know well petting him. With visitors to the house he will take himself off to hide quietly in another room. Think Scooby Doo, he is very fearful. When we got him home it took him 3 weeks before he would come and sit on our knee, now with us, he is the most loving, cuddly boy, but it will take a few weeks to get close to his new owners. Secondly he does put his paws up a lot, we continue constantly with trying ‘down’ but when excited to see us he will jump up. He’s very lightweight and only does this with us as he doesn’t greet anyone else so it’s not a huge problem. He is very fast running off the lead and easy to walk on the lead. We take him to enclosed dog parks and would not let him off the lead in busy areas where if something frightened him he would take flight. He’s on the whole a very easy loving boy and we are looking for a mature, patient and loving home for him.
