Male cocker spaniel in need of a new home.
We recently got Thor from a home that couldn’t cope with him due to working full time. I do not work, so thought we would be a great fit, however he has separation anxiety, and barks and cries when left alone. Fortunately, he does settle down in his crate at night quite fast, however it can take 30 minutes or so to calm down when left during the day.
Thor is the perfect gentleman with people, other dogs, cats and children. I have a 6 and 2 year old and he is great with them. He is great on his slip lead, however his recall needs work. He is very excited and active and loves to say hello to other dogs, so we have him on a long lead when on walks.
He loves cuddles and kisses, he often comes for a cuddle when he is sleepy.
I was told he liked to chew things however we haven’t seen that at all. If he does pick up something he shouldn’t have, “leave” makes him leave it alone. He sits on command, although this could do with some work too.
He is crate trained, if you say “in” he will go in happily. He just doesn’t like to be left alone in it.
I am heart broken to rehome him, but unfortunately it is too much for me and it seems my toddler is allergic.
He came to us with only a crate, so he has all new bed, harness, collar, slip lead, clip lead, and long lead. I am just looking for what we paid for him.
