Description

ANUBIS urgently needs home: foster or permanent. Meet Anubis, a beautiful Black and tan 15 month old Doberman cross boy. Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands Sadly he has found him self needing a new home through absolute no fault of his own. His large size and excitable puppy nature makes him a little scary to the children in his home. He is just a silly, goofy, playful big puppy who has already started training classes but is a little too big for his small humans. 🦴 ANUBIS’S FACTS: Age: 15 months Size: Large - Doberman cross. TRAINING: Knows Sit, Paw, No, Come, Sleep, Eat, Relax. Has had 3 training sessions and doing well. HOME LIFE: Fully house trained. Create trained. Can be left alone for 4-6 hours and just sleeps, no aggression at all. Does pull on the lead. CHARACTER: Playful, loving, and joyful. Does jump up at people when the come in the house. DOGS: FEMALE DOGS ONLY. CHILDREN & ANIMALS: Great with kids but just be 11+ and dog savvy due to his size and still being very boisterous. Good with other dogs but is pushy. NO CATS! HATES CATS AND WILL CHASE THEM. HEALTH: No medical issues. Rescue will contribute to neutering Here is what Anubis’s currently family say about him - Anubis is a male doberman cross , he is still intact and has lived with me for 7 months. I’m looking to rehome Anubis as my two younger boys are afraid of him. Most of the time they get on really good. But Anubis gets overly excited sometimes. The boys live half the week with me and the other half at their dads meaning that every time when they are back Anubis is absolutely ecstatic to see them. Recently he jumped on my one son out of excitement and my son bumped his head. There was zero aggression involved as I was right there and seen it happen. It breaks our heart because they get on well. And this one incident has shifted everything. I have since put Anubis on professional training, we’ve had 3 sessions so far. I have come to the point that Anu is better of being with a different loving family instead of with us. If left alone it is for around 4-5h and he tolerates this well. He is kept in the front part of the home or downstairs, he sleeps on the sofa at night. He is fully housetrained and create trained. He does jump up when people come in and he can be underfoot when food is present. He has basic and understand: Sit, Paw, No, Come, Sleep, Eat, Relax. When out walking he does chase after cats but not after people. When in the car he is curious but settled. When left alone he is not at all destructive. He does pull on the lead so will need ongoing training. He has absolutely no protective or possessive traits, haven’t experienced anything close to resource guarding. Not scared of fireworks. Anubis likes female dogs but is reactive to male dogs. He does not like cats and can not live with one. He currently lives with children aged 7,7,13,15 - older children recommend due to his size. Anubis eats a mix of human grade cooked food and kibble. Ex: rice, vegetables, fruit, sardines, cup of kibble and wet food as top up. Anubis desperately wants a forever home with a family who can teach him the ways of the world and will love him unconditionally, he has a lot of love to give in return 💙 Please contact us if you can help with fostering until a new home will be found orwith to foster in a view to adopt (foster-to-adopt).
