NUGGET was adopted a long time ago, but his family is now moving abroad and cannot take him. They asked to find him a new home quickly. We are urgently looking for a foster home to give him a loving bridge to his forever home.
๐ถ ABOUT NUGGET โ A FUN, ACTIVE, AND LOYAL COMPANION ๐ถ
๐ถ NUGGET is a smart, high-energy dog who thrives on adventure and playtime. He loves human interaction, whether following you around the house or pawing you for attention. However, he is not overly cuddly and values his personal space, making him better suited to a home without young children. He enjoys playing with balls, fetch, and tug-of-war, and he absolutely loves his walks and outdoor time.
๐ถ NUGGET is very social with other dogs, though he can be a little too enthusiastic when meeting new ones. He prefers the company of female dogs, as he can sometimes be bossy and try to assert dominance with male dogs of a similar size. He has lived with a young teenager but would be better suited to a home with older children who can respect his space.
๐ถ NUGGET is fully house-trained and can be left at home without being destructive. He walks well to heel when given the command โcloseโ but is still improving when walking next to other dogs, as he sometimes pulls on the lead. He is currently fed a raw diet but also enjoys Barking Heads dry food.
๐ถ While he is a loving and intelligent dog, he does have some anxiety, which can show in cautious behaviour around people he doesnโt know. He may lower his head and tuck his tail when unsure, and he can be guardful of objects around people he doesnโt fully trust yet. He doesnโt like baths or being muzzled at the vet. Despite these quirks, in a patient and understanding home, NUGGET will shine as a wonderful and devoted companion.
๐ก IDEAL HOME FOR NUGGET ๐ก
NUGGET would thrive with an active person or family who enjoys long walks and outdoor activities. He would do well in a home with another friendly dog, a female, but he would also be happy as an only dog in the right environment. He needs an owner who understands dogs and is willing to give him the time and patience to build trust. Due to his need for personal space, he would be best suited to a home without young children. He is a clever, loving, and fun companion who will bring so much joy to the right home.
๐ฉบ HEALTH INFORMATION
NUGGET is fully vaccinated, with his most recent vaccinations done in January 2024. He receives monthly NexGard flea and worm treatment, which needs to be broken down and added to his food. On veterinary advice, he has not been neutered yet, but we conder he should (rescue will arrange it) .
