A Unique and Rare Heritage
Did you know the Biewer Terrier originated from Yorkshire Terriers? In 1984, German breeders Werner and Gertrud Biewer discovered a puppy with a striking tri-colored coat in their Yorkshire Terrier litter. This genetic twist led to the creation of the Biewer Terrier, a breed cherished for its elegance, intelligence, and affectionate nature.
I believe my Biewer Terriers represent the perfect example of this rare breed, combining exceptional conformation, temperament, and their stunning tri-color coats. While traditionally known for their black, white, and gold coats, my Biewer Terriers carry the blue, white, and gold gene, making them even more unique. These puppies are truly rare in the UK and a testament to the breed's purity and charm.
As the Biewer Terrier is not yet recognized in the UK, I am actively working to gain recognition with the Kennel Club to protect and maintain the breed's integrity. Sadly, many breeders claim their puppies are pure Biewer Terriers when they are not but these puppies are true representatives of the breed.
