I’m Sarah & I’m not sure how to tell you about my ‘life’ because leesa tells me it was no life at all & there are dogs out there being treated like princesses & princes. I’m not sure what that means though I believe they are very pretty & handsome. I’ve always taken pride in my appearance- homeless & abandoned I was grateful for a doorway & tried to lick my dusty cost & thin body. I didn’t know I was worthless to the world though I did feel lonely and neglected so perhaps that’s why. I was very hungry & starving most of the time as you can see from my underweight body in the earlier pictures but I wagged my tail at people and if they threw me stale bread I wasn’t unhappy- I just wagged my tail even more. Pleased with such small morsels I know. I suppose I was tolerated and even liked compared to what some humans do to dogs. However I wasn’t neutered or
cared for in the way that leesa tells me I needed. In freezing or boiling temperatures I couldn’t look after myself let alone another litter of babies and no one gave me flea treatment for example. I wasn’t protected from harm. One fateful day I found that out. I was heavily pregnant or had had my babies when someone for no reason at all hit me with a weapon so hard that it shattered my eye- you can see the injuries around the stitched area. I didn’t fight back - I’ve never bitten or hurt a human in my life. I was very frightened & shocked as I was doing nothing wrong. The people who had been used to me in their village told the vet that someone also hit me with their car. I have no breaks but the cruel human cost me my sight in one eye. I do not let it define me. After I was treated in the eye clinic the locals who took care of me told the vet / pound that they would look for a home for me after castration, so that I wouldn’t be returned to the street....but no one has come back for me ......I’m looking for my special person so I can at last belong and give my love to someone who will return it. I’d like a soft hand on my face and some belly rubs thrown in please. I’ve been a devoted mamma & I’m praying someone will be devoted to me.
