I am looking to rehome Honey who is around 1.5-2 years old. She has been happily bonded with a male rabbit since I got her but unfortunately he passed away and she’s now left widowed.
She is fully neutered and I have got several rabbits and she is quite easy to bond with another rabbit if it’s the right pairing. I know from experience bonding rabbits can be very difficult but with her it’s a case of you know straight away if she will or won’t. For example, I’ve had 3 male rabbits and all of them she has got on with very easily. I also have another 2 females, one she is ok with and one they just don’t get on at all and very vicious to eachother.
So, Honey definitely seems to prefer males rabbits over females and she will make a perfect bun wife to some bunny.
Honey is ok with humans, she isn’t vicious but she does seem to prefer rabbit company to human company. So if you’re looking for a rabbit to pick up and cuddle she isn’t the right one. But if you’re looking for a companion for a neutered male she is definitely a good choice.
Honey was a rescue so I think her past made her wary of humans so she is a bit timid but may come out of her shell with the right approach.
