Little Clara gets on with everybody - people, dogs, and loves children. She is very affectionate.
Clara is quite an active little dog and loves to explore, run and play, both with other dogs and with toys.
She can be a bit growly around food which is normal for dogs who do not know where their next meal is coming from.
Clara is in a pen with her best bud Rufo, whom she adores. She is fine with the other dogs at the shelter but has no hesitation in telling them off if they do something that she doesn't approve of.
Clara does have quite a high prey drive and has a keen interest in the resident hens so please bear this in mind if you have or are often around small furries or birds.
BACKGROUND
Clara was an abuse case who was admitted into our care some months ago. Clara had been very badly treated but she is such a brave little dog. She now realises she is safe and has really come out of her shell.
Clara is a Breton and was a working dog - please research the breed-specific needs of a Breton/Brittany before applying.

All of our dogs have an international passport (unless born in the UK) and are microchipped. They are fully vaccinated for standard diseases as well as rabies and kennel cough. All dogs are blood tested for infectious diseases including Leishmaniasis, Dirofilaria, Ehrlichia, Babesia, Anaplasma, Lyme and Brucella. All dogs, unless there are medical or behavioural reasons to not do so, will be sterilised. Clara has been sterilised. Please note that we will advise results and treatments upon successful application.
Adoption contract and fee, home check and lifetime RBU (rescue back-up) apply as standard.
