Prince is a "Copoi" type, a Transilvanian hound. He is a very handsome and affectionate boy, currently approximately three years old.
Prince was abandoned on the streets of a small mountain town in the Spring of 2024. He managed to evade the evil dog catchers for months and survived because of his friendliness; a number of people became very fond of him and fed him. Our rescuer, Helen, found him begging for food outside of a supermarket and took him to safety with a foster family.
Prince is very handsome, in good condition with a shiny coat and he was neutered before he was abandoned. He is friendly with cats, with people and with other dogs.
He is very well behaved in the car, enjoying the ride and just sits quietly. He loves a cuddle! He is not yet tested with children but this breed usually gets on well with little people - they are good family dogs and easy to train.
He is large size, 65cm in height and 34 kgs and needs plenty of exercise.
He had his rabies vaccine on 3 January and will be ready to travel in mid February.

ADOPTION CRITERIA - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
❇️ Minimum age for adopters is 25
❇️ A successful home check is required
❇️ The adoption donation is £450
❇️ We do not rehome our dogs in flats/apartments unless ground floor with own private garden
❇️ Children above the age of 10 years old due to his size
❇️ A good size fully secure garden with at least 6’ fences/boundaries is required
❇️ If working, no more than 4 hours absence at any one time.
