Meet Ruby, our lurcher greyhound. She’s three years old - we got her as a pup. She’s a beautiful and a lovely natured dog.
She’s intelligent, and can be very chilled - loves a snuggle on a sofa. She can also be quite nervous.
The reason we are rehoming her is that my partner has recently been diagnosed with a chronic health problem that is making it increasingly hard to care for her. In addition to this, after our baby was born she’s finding it more stressful being in a home with children.
She needs a home that can accommodate her energetic and affectionate needs. She has the nature of a lurcher and will sometimes chase runners or cyclists, and can catch wildlife too. For this reason she will need to be kept on a lead in public areas.
We don’t condone racing or hare coursing. So please don’t reach out if you are looking to take her for these reasons.
Mainly she needs love and time to be herself. Which includes running, exploring and cuddling with a family.
