Male cockateil nice bird was told he was tame when we bought him but he's not. He doesn't like being handled although he will step up onto a stick and he will happily sit in the room with you. He also whistles and tries to mimic although I've not been able to make out what he's saying. I think he could be tamed down with time but unfortunately we just don't have the time to spend with him which is why we wanted one that was already tame.
He's been living with a budgie for company and they get on well the budgie is fairly tame but has a splayed leg but she can come with him too if wanted.
