Gizmo is a 1 year old Hahns Macaw… he’s the smallest of the macaws but he doesn’t know this and has a HUGE personality. I am having to let him go because of my health and I have spent many weeks in hospital over the last 6 months and it’s just not fair on him to be stuck in his cage during these times. When I am home, He loves being out of his cage and spends most of the day in free flight around the house and going between me and his Java tree.
He loves “helping” me with everything… if it’s in my hand- he wants it! His favourite thing to do with me is sing and he says “step up” pretty well as well as mimicking many sounds as well as my laugh. Hahns aren’t great talkers though, so you kind of need to know what he is saying before hand to understand it!
He has started target training and goes back in his cage first time, every time. He is incredibly easy to train because he is very treat driven by with the top of the list being pine nuts!!!
He loves toys and comes with many of them.
I will be vetting people who are interested so no time wasters please! I am happy to FaceTime with Gizmo to show him to you and I have many more videos and photos if you would like. I want him to go to his forever home and preferably someone who has had parrots before (macaws even better).
He will also come with his large cage and xl Java tree and EVERYTHING that he could possibly need for at least a year.
Please note; the reason for the price is because his cage is only 4 weeks old and cost £400. And he has a huge box of brand new, unused toys as well as boxes of treats and food.
