Description

This is Harper, my 6 year old cavapoochon. We have had her since a puppy. She is microchipped, neutered and is up to date with all of her health checks and boosters. Due to my declining health, I'm having to re-home her. My condition makes having a pet difficult for me. We're reluctant to rehome her, but my wife is having to look after me more, so we feel it is best for Harper also. Harper loves walks, and playing with her toys. Her favourite thing is cuddling up on the couch, and spending time with you. She can be left on her own for periods of time without any fear. She is also crate trained, though a change of environment can cause some anxiety and barking until she becomes familiar with her surroundings. Harper was attacked by another dog just over a year ago, and is now quite a nervous dog. She is very cautious of new people and other animals. Since she was attacked, she has demonstrated some guarding behaviour. She has given me and some family members a warning bite, on occasion. Probably 10 times in the last year. Harper needs a home which will be loving and patient, and be able to give her some training to overcome these issues. She is truly a loving dog, despite these issues, and has been a joy to us. We know she will be for the right new home too. I feel she would be best suited to a couple or single person, without children. Those who can give her the quality time she enjoys, regular walks which she loves, and the retraining she needs. If you think you could give her a loving, happy home and life then please message me. Before getting rehomed I would like for her new family to visit a few times to make sure it's a perfect match.
