Description

Through unforseen circumstances I need to rehome my dogs Rosie and Rocket. I'm a single mum of two young girls and I've got a lot of personal upsetting issues I'm dealing with currently, along with my boyfriend walked out on us and I help care for my mum. I have advertised in the past my dogs, but had a lot of time wasters and also a lot of trying to manage them on top of everything else because I love them both dearly so removed the adverts, so I apologise to anyone who applied before. I have also decided that they MUST go together. They have bonded really well and are upset without each others company. Rosie is a 3 and half year old spayed Greyhound. She's really laid back and gentle soul but does get a little stressed if being left alone. This has improved greatly since we got Rocket, but she's quite sensitive so may require extra time to settle in with a new family. She doesn't like hustle and bustle and unsure about travelling so she would suit somewhere quieter and not so much busy town etc. She loves walks in woodland or farm areas and is brilliant on the lead and she's OK off lead but sometimes can be stubborn on recall lol Rocket lives by his name. He is a high energy dog and really needs a lot of play and run time to burn off his energy. But when he's had a good run and food in his belly, he loves nothing more than to sit on the sofa and curl up next to you like an oversized kitten lol He is almost 9 months old. He knows the command sit, wait when out walking and a good old 'no' when needed lol however he is at the age where he wants to be top dog (don't we all?) so he still needs work. He pulls a little on the lead more so if he sees a dog/cat etc but not too much. I have him on a harness on the chest/front lead clip. It seems to work best on him. His recall is really quite good, especially if you have a treat. Again as with most sighthounds though, he can be stubborn if he spots something of interest. Currently he has not been neutered. Both dogs are very loving but Rocket can be very bouncy at times and get carried away with play times so I wouldn't recommend for anyone with a child under 7 years old especially as he loves to jump upj people and regularly 'hones' his jumping skills in the girls trampoline lol They cannot be rehomed with cats and other small furries. I have tried many re homing centres including Greyhound rescued, but nowhere has the space currently for them Both Rocket & Rosie are Microchipped. They are fully flea and wormed and up to date with vaccinations and go regularly for checks as I am on my local vets health plan. I do not drive so I would not be able to come out to your home. As. I said, it's with a great sadness I'm doing this, but I realised it's best for the as they don't always get to go on the walks they love (my garden pays testament to that, they've turned it into a race course lol) Any Questions please ask. I can't seperate them. I want them to go together.
