Description
Sadly we need to rehome our two bitches. £400 for both together (preferred), or £350 for the German Shepherd and £75 for the Patterdale Terrier.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND WE WILL NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT REQUESTS UNTIL YOU HAVE MET OUR DOGS IN PERSON AND INTRODUCED THEM TO YOUR DOGS: this is not purely a sale of animals to anyone with money, but a rehoming! When payment on collection is made we would prefer instant bank transfer. Thank you.
Our German Shepherd is about 2 years and 2 months old and our Patterdale Terrier is around 7 years old. We acquired our German Shepherd first, at a year old and only recently got the Patterdale to keep our Shepherd company. They’ve been together since the beginning of December 2024, which although doesn’t seem long, they have forged a very strong bond now, where they play, sleep together, kiss and groom each other. Therefore, we would prefer they are rehomed together. They are yard dogs, so live outside with a brick built kennel and definitely guard well within their own territory, but are happy and sociable with other dogs on walks. They have lived indoors with other owners and our Shepherd stayed in our neighbour’s house for a week and a half last November, while we visited family. So, they would both be suitable for indoor living and should housetrain very easily. They both love young children, from babies upwards. The Shepherd can be excitable when she sees our children of 4, 3 and 20 months, so if you have little ones just be aware she can play nip sometimes and knock small ones due to her size. However, she wouldn’t harm them on purpose.
Neither are neutered, so the German Shepherd would make a lovely future mother to a litter. She is microchipped and I applied to change it over when we got her, but we aren’t sure about the terrier as we were told she is but have heard nothing about the change over from either pet plan and we are rubbish with technology, so it may be best if you get them chipped again. The Terrier has some fur missing from the back of one leg and her tail and gets a wheepy right eye sometimes, but this was all present before we took her in. The eye has been treated with drops by us and doesn’t appear infectious, so could just be sensitive. We just wipe it with salt water when needed now. She took a couple of weeks to adjust when we first got her, but is perfectly happy and confident now. Although, she is a greedy thing and will try to eat both bowls of food lol The Shepherd will let her do it too! They are on wet and dry food and treats. The Terrier will eat pretty much anything, but the Shepherd is a bit fussy with what treats she does and doesn’t like lol
We feel the need to find a new forever family for them because I am pregnant with our 4th child and this pregnancy is much more difficult than the others health wise and unfortunately, my husband also damaged his back a few weeks ago, which he already had an operation on, which means he cannot work as much or bend down well anymore. Therefore, it has become challenging to see to their needs now and our life plan needs to change.
We are only asking for money to make sure you are serious and to cover the price of passports for our children, so we can plan a well-needed holiday after I give birth to our new arrival. £400.00 for both or £350.00 for the Shepherd and £75 for the Terrier, if they must separate. Thanks for your genuine interest.
